Clients needing information independently verified but with requirements short of a full audit can engage Broussard & Company CPA’s to perform an Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) engagement.  This engagement is ideal for entities needing verification of:

Audit

Financial Statement Audits

Our Financial Audits are targeted audit engagements performed by a team of certified public accountants and audit professionals.  Our team performs an on-site and remote examination of your Financial Statements and systems used to create your Financial Statements.  We not only verify the accuracy of your statements but also examine your internal controls as well as the security of your systems surrounding your financial systems.

Our detailed findings and audit reports use AICPA Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and our assertions are used to demonstrate third party verification of Financial Statements to banks, other businesses, and investors.

SOC 1 Audits

Many organizations are required to demonstrate a higher degree of assurance that their financial systems and data are properly protected and operating effectively.  These institutions undergo Service Organization Control 1 (SOC 1) engagements.

At first glance this audit is similar to a Financial Statement Audit, except it goes in much more detail into the internal controls, procedures, and IT systems surrounding the financial systems and financial data.

Broussard & Company, CPA’s SOC 1 audits are performed by an expanded team of certified public accountants, audit professionals, IT professionals possessing audit experience, and Certified Information System Auditors (CISA).

Compilations

Financial Statements are vital to understanding the health of your business and to demonstrate to investors and third parties your overall business performance.  Our accountants and CPA’s assist organizations prepare Financial Statements by first learning your business, then analyzing your data and preparing custom statements using AICPA accounting standards.

Financial Statement Review

Short of a full audit, a Financial Statement Review provides your organization with a limited assurance by our CPA’s that your financial statements are being presented correctly.  Broussard & Company reviews financial statements in accordance with Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS).

Typically, in a review, we do not analyze your internal controls.  However, we do discuss common accounting guidelines and strategies to assist you with improving the accuracy of your statements.
